Maderotherapy

Maderotherapy, also known as wood therapy, is a holistic massage technique that originated in Colombia. Specially shaped wooden tools in various sizes are applied to targeted areas such as the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and hips. A sequence of dynamic movements stimulates the lymphatic system, boosts circulation and activates the metabolism, helping to visibly firm the skin.

FAQ

Many clients notice a difference after the first few sessions. For the best and longest-lasting results, we recommend a course of 5–10 sessions.

A session usually takes 50–55 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Most clients describe it as intense but pleasant. If you have sensitive skin, you may notice slight redness or a feeling of pressure at first, which fades quickly.

Your skin may be temporarily red or show slight pressure marks after the treatment. This is completely normal and fades shortly afterwards. There are no serious side effects. Due to its draining effect, the treatment may make you need to urinate more often.

Maderotherapy is ideal for anyone looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite, firm their skin, stimulate their metabolism or define their body contours. It is not recommended during pregnancy or for people with certain medical conditions, such as acute inflammation or thrombosis.

This depends on individual factors such as skin type, lifestyle and diet. A healthy lifestyle can help results stay visible for much longer.

Maderotherapy may support your recovery after liposuction. By stimulating the lymphatic system, it can help reduce swelling, improve circulation and support skin regeneration. The massage may also help soften hardened or uneven areas of tissue and smooth the skin.

Important: Treatment should only begin once the healing process is sufficiently advanced. Doctors usually recommend waiting 4–6 weeks after the procedure, depending on how you are healing. Please always consult your doctor before starting maderotherapy.
